LEGAL / RESPONSIBLE USE

Acceptable Use Policy

The minimum rules that keep Trace safe and trustworthy for every workspace.

Effective 22 July 2026

1. Use lawfully

You may use Trace only for lawful business purposes and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual duties, and third-party rights.

2. Prohibited content

Do not submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, exploitative, or that promotes violence, abuse, discrimination, or illegal activity. Do not upload malware, stolen credentials, regulated data you are not authorized to process, or content designed to harm others.

3. Security and access

  • Do not probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without written authorization.
  • Do not bypass authentication, tenant isolation, rate limits, plan limits, or access controls.
  • Do not use another person’s credentials or attempt to access another workspace.
  • Do not interfere with service availability, infrastructure, queues, integrations, or monitoring.

4. Platform integrity

Do not scrape the service at unreasonable volume, send spam, distribute deceptive messages, automate account creation, resell unauthorized access, or use Trace to build a competing dataset through systematic extraction. Approved API use must follow issued scopes and rate limits.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and restrict or suspend affected accounts, integrations, or workspaces where reasonably necessary to protect the platform. We may preserve evidence and cooperate with lawful requests. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

6. Reporting

Report abuse or security concerns to [email protected]. Include the affected workspace, relevant timestamps, and enough detail to investigate without sending passwords or secret keys.
